One of my personal goals for 2026 is to reduce my time online on social media, especially since my X feed has become full of bots and “viral” posts that don’t interest me at all. So I started working on building my own personal media bot that can fetch posts and read them and curate a feed to my preferences and delivered to me daily.
Instead of spending 1hr on Twitter to find the 10 high quality posts and actual AI news that interest me, they get automatically delivered to me daily. I’ve also scaled horizontally to add Hacker News, Arxiv, Github Trending, Hugging Face, etc.
I’ve added some post-processing and ranking code so far and I’m monitoring my feed quality day over day with changes, so far it’s been solving my problem.
